APU Among the Highest Rated Universities

Yes!

Another proud achievement for APU in 2012 - We are extremely proud to inform that APU (Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation) was announced as among the Highest Rated Universities in Malaysia, being rated at TIER 5 (EXCELLENT) under the SETARA 2011 Ratings by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) which was announced by the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin on 1st November 2012.

The MQA Rating System for Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia for 2011 (SETARA '11) is the third rating exercise undertaken at the institutional level for Universities and University Colleges in Malaysia. SETARA measures the performance of teaching and learning, looking at inputs (talent and resources), process (teaching and learning) and output (graduate quality and satisfaction).

The SETARA '11 rating exercise was carried out by an independent committee between March 2011 and July 2012, and a total of 54 Malaysian Universities and University Colleges participated in the exercise. Benchmark figures were established for the indicators. Data for the final analysis were sourced from the institutions as well as the Employer Survey conducted jointly with GRADUAN® and the Tracer Study by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. The position of the Universities and University Colleges in the respective tiers was based on their scores. No University was awarded a rating beyond the Tier 5 (Excellent) rating.
