MyBrain15 was established to recruit and develop a pool of talented, high-caliber intellectuals in the country with the objective to spur the growth of research and innovation. Under the "MyBrain15" initiative, the Malaysian government has recently set a new goal to produce 60, 000 Malaysian PhD holders by the year 2020.
Requirements:
For MyMaster:
- Bachelor’s degree or government-recognized equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.75
Value of scholarship
- Study fees of up to RM10,000 for 24 months paid directly to the institution
For MyPhD:
- Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 OR
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.50
- Relevant working experience that is accepted by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).
Value of scholarship
- Tuition fees of up to RM24,000 for a period of not more than 48 months

Application
- Application is open year-round until 2015. Sponsorships will be offered in four (4) phases in January, April, July and October every year.
- Applicants are required to apply online via the MyBrain15 website.
- Prior to applying, applicants must obtain an offer letter from a recognized institution of higher education and prepare a research proposal.
- Selection for recipients will be made by the selection committee chosen by the Ministry of Higher Education.
