Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) announcing the approval of the Erasmus Mobility Project with bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest private, state-recognised universities in Germany. The new light-flooded and atmospherically calm premises in the state-of-the-art office lab campus will start operating in Wagner-Régeny-Straße of the Science and Technology Park in Berlin-Adlershof next March.
This project focuses on knowledge exchange and staff/student mobility in the area of supply chain management, representing a significant milestone in APU’s ongoing commitment to international collaboration and curriculum development.
Erasmus, an acronym of the “European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students”, is a European Union (EU) student exchange programme established in 1987.
In 2019, APU successfully applied for European Commission funding to form part of the international consortium of Higher Education Institutions in Europe and across Asia to support internationalisation capabilities and campus diversity.
By being part of the ERASMUS+ FRIENDS Project, APU aligns with the prime goal of developing students’ global competence through the integration of intercultural dimensions into the university’s formal and informal curriculum.

By being part of the ERASMUS+ FRIENDS Project, APU is now on the Erasmus Mobility Project with bbw Hochschule - University of Applied Sciences, Germany. The project focuses on knowledge exchange and staff or student mobility in the area of the supply chain.
Commenting on the ties established, Professor Dr. Andy Seddon, Senior Director of Partnership and Standards at APU stated, “The synergy between APU and bbw University is clear, both are internationally focused, industry-engaged and dedicated to producing graduates who can drive change in their respective fields. This project builds on previous collaborative activities between the two institutions and leverages the strengths each institution has in the areas of technology and sustainability.”

A special project team from the School of Business (SoB) at APU will use the exchange opportunities this project affords to add value to the Supply Chain Management Specialism being introduced in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in January 2024.
The above project team is formed by academics from SoB, led by the Head of School, Associate Professor Dr. Jason Turner, with members consisting of Associate Professor Dr. Rohana, Ts Dr Noraini Ahmad, Ms. Shailaja Kumar and Mr. Kantharow Apparavu.
The approval marks the beginning of an exciting journey for our respective institutions, underlining the importance of collaboration and cultural exchange to enhance academic programmes and produce employable, future-facing graduates in the area of Supply Chain Management.
