Over 80 students from 17 programmes under SoC and SoT fused technology and art at the Bridging the Gap Between Technology and Artistry Final Year Project (FYP) Showcase 2024.
Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) School of Computing (SoC) and School of Technology (SoT) recently collaborated on an outstanding Final Year Project (FYP) Showcase on 17 January 2024.
Over 80 final-year students from 17 programmes under SoC and SoT, transformed the APU Walkway and Atrium into a vibrant canvas of innovation, showcasing their projects under the captivating theme: ‘Bridging the Gap Between Technology and Artistry’.
Forget the usual tech showcases. This SoC and SoT FYP showcase allows young inventors to showcase their talents while combining cutting-edge technology with stunning visuals, engaging characters, and immersive environments, showing that the future of technology and creativity is exciting.
Ms. Rizawati Rohizan and her team — Dr. Dewi Octaviani, Ms. Palvinderjit Kaur, Mr. Dhason Padmakumar, Ts. Umapathy Eaganathan, Ms. Aida Zamnah Zainal Abidin, Mr. Daniel Mago Vistro, and Mr. Jacob Sow Tian You — spearheaded the FYP Showcase, an event that went beyond a mere presentation; it was a fusion of creativity where algorithms, and brushstrokes all came together.
APU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ho Chin Kuan kicked off the event, setting the stage for an intellectual event fuelled by passion and judged by experts, with a group of recognised external and internal panels holding the reins of judgement.
