The competitions saw participation from Malaysian public and private universities. 6 students of APU took part in the Programming Competition, whereas 3 students participated in the Bug Hunt. Among 131 participants who attended the event, 2 APU students, Seyed Mohammad Daneshvar and Morrison Kho CuiZhi, stood out as the Merit Award winners and bagged RM200 cash each based on their outstanding performance at the written competition, which was held on the 8 November 2014. On the other hand, all 3 participants from APU who took part in the Bug Hunt emerged as the Top 3 winners at the competition, based on their brilliant software testing documents which were produced on the 5th of December 2014 at Wisma Genting.
