APU and Crest Infosolutions LLC join Forces to advance Tech Talent Ecosystem

The advancement of industry-ready talent took a significant step forward, as Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) formalised a strategic partnership with Crest Infosolutions LLC through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). 

Aimed at aligning academic learning with the rapidly evolving demands of the technology industry, the MoU was signed by Professor Dr Ho Chin Kuan, Vice-Chancellor of APU, and Mr Hemant Prasad, Chief Executive Officer of Crest Infosolutions LLC.

The signing was witnessed by Professor Ir EUR ING Ts Dr Vinesh Thiruchelvam, Chief Innovation & Enterprise Officer of APU, together with representatives from the School of Technology (SoT) at APU, including Assoc Prof Dr Thang Ka Fei (Senior Head, SoT at APU), Dr Kuruvikulam Chandrasekaran Arun (Senior Lecturer, SoT at APU), and Ms Nur Azyyati Ahmad (Senior Lecturer, SoT at APU). 

Also present were representatives from Crest Infosolutions LLC, whose presence reflected the company’s strong commitment to fostering meaningful collaboration and creating long-term impact.

Prof Ho emphasised that partnerships like this allow APU to strengthen the connection between academic learning and real-world industry practice, ensuring students are equipped with the skills and experience needed to succeed in today’s technology landscape. 

“At APU, we are committed to creating opportunities where students can apply their knowledge, explore innovation, and grow into future proof professionals.” 

From Crest Infosolutions LLC’s perspective, Mr Hemant Prasad highlighted the hands-on nature of the opportunities they will provide. 

“Our focus is on giving students real-world challenges that mirror what they will face in the tech industry. 

“This allows them to not only apply their knowledge, but also develop problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership skills that are essential for their future careers,” he said. 

Showcasing Talent through the MariaDB Hackathon Malaysia 2026

Further strengthening this collaboration, the partnership will feature the MariaDB Hackathon Malaysia 2026. 

This high-energy, time-bound hackathon will provide students with a dynamic and collaborative platform to demonstrate their technical skills, tackle real-world challenges, and innovate under pressure. 

Beyond technical problem-solving, the hackathon encourages creativity, teamwork, and effective communication, allowing students to experience the full scope of industry project environments. 

By connecting students directly with industry professionals and mentors from Crest Infosolutions LLC and other partners, the hackathon also offers valuable networking opportunities that can shape future career pathways.
