Formerly known as the Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert programme, the Microsoft Elevate Educator Expert recognition forms part of Microsoft’s broader Elevate for Educators initiative.

The programme connects educators with a global community, professional development opportunities, and resources to support innovative teaching practices and the integration of emerging technologies into education.

The programme also supports educators in developing their skills and adapting their teaching practices to meet the evolving needs of learners.

For APU’s educators, the recognition reflects their contributions to fostering a learning environment that embraces innovation and responds to the evolving needs of students; reinforcing the university’s commitment to strengthening teaching practices and encouraging academic excellence.

As the community of Microsoft Elevate Educator Experts grows, APU remains committed to encouraging academic staff to explore new teaching approaches, share knowledge, and create engaging learning experiences that support students’ academic development and future aspirations.
