Two APU teams snatched Two Silver Medals back home
Our students managed to grab 2 Silver Medals back home in the International Innovation ARSVOT Malaysia (IAM2021) virtual competition organised by ARSVOT along with several collaborating partners. “DESIGN FOR HUMANITIES”, was the theme for the IAM2021 exhibition this year which highlights innovation in teaching and learning, innovative products, and a medium to share expertise in humanities.
As a result of the relentless guidance by Ts. Dr. Vinothini Kasinathan and the assistance of Ms. Aida Zamnah Zainal Abidin from the School of Computing, both teams with the project Hel(p)met by Wong Jen Yin, Chong Mei Teng, Tan Phing Yeeh, and Shanazar Valiyeev; as well as project FoodCam by Tan Lay Yang, Kalvin Valiant and Jivha Raymond Lie won Silver Awards in the competition.
The Innovation Category Challenge saw over 1,614 participants involving in different educational levels which includes Primary School, Secondary School, Special Needs, Vocational College, Tertiary Institution, and Accredited Centre. This IAM2021 virtual competition enables students to develop online exposure during the pandemic era and assists in finding alternative initiatives to exchange constructive ideas and knowledge with each other virtually. This is also a significant step towards the preparation of Industrial Revolution 4.0. Hence, their innovation and presented papers in this IAM2021 may also contribute towards the academic reference materials in the future.
Congratulations to the 2 teams for their outstanding achievement and Kudos to the School of Computing for the dedication and effort in leading students towards success!
