APU and Chitkara University Join Forces to Foster Academic Excellence

Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Malaysia, and Chitkara University (CU), India, are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting academic collaboration and strengthening the relationship between these two esteemed academic institutions.

This MoU sets out the framework for future collaborative activities, marking a significant step towards enhancing academic excellence and international cooperation.

The formalisation of the newly established collaboration was carried out on 25 September 2023 at APU’s campus situated in Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI) Park, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

The document signing brought together esteemed representatives from both CU and APU – Professor Dr. Sandhir Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor of Chitkara Business School; and Professor Dr. Ho Chin Kuan, Vice Chancellor of APU, signed the historic document.

This momentous event was also graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Sanjeev Sahni, CU’s Vice President of the Office of International Affairs; and Dr. Kuldeep Rojhe, Dean of Academics at Chitkara Center for Continuing Education. Key members of APU's leadership team joined in, highlighting the institution's strong commitment to the partnership.

The MoU signatories and key members of the leadership team from both APU and CU celebrate the formalisation of working ties between two esteemed academic institutions. 

The primary objectives of this MoU are to further strengthen the ties between CU and APU and to elevate their existing collaborations to new heights. Key initiatives outlined in the MoU include APU's participation in CU's Global Week and an ongoing research project focused on SME Digital Business Transformation in both India and Malaysia.

Speaking about the significance of this partnership, Prof. Dr. Sandhir Sharma stated, "This MoU underscores our commitment to enhancing academic standards, fostering research, and promoting global connections. It is a moment of pride for us as we work hand in hand with APU to enrich the academic landscape."

In response, Prof. Dr. Ho Chin Kuan expressed his excitement, saying, "As Vice Chancellor of APU, I am thrilled to announce our partnership with Chitkara University, India.
