Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) formalised its collaboration with the Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC), the leading capital market capacity-building provider in Malaysia, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The academics of APU's School of Accounting and Finance (SoAF) are celebrating the establishment of a robust framework for academic cooperation with distinguished guests from SIDC.
The MoU, signed on November 2, 2023, at APU’s campus situated in MRANTI Park, Bukit Jalil, establishes a robust framework for academic cooperation, underlining mutual benefits for both entities.
Renowned for its integration of technology, innovation, and creativity in education, APU aims to amplify its research and development initiatives through this strategic partnership. Meanwhile, SIDC, as the capacity-building arm of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), views this collaboration as an avenue to reinforce its commitment to quality and innovation in the capital market industry.
The MoU outlines the collaboration's objectives, focusing on academic cooperation across various domains. Both parties commit to encouraging activities such as facilitating SIDC's certification programmes, organising symposia and conferences on capital markets, exchanging information on teaching and training developments, and collaborating in other areas related to capital market qualifications, standards, and assessments.
