APU’s School of Foundation and Elshaddai Refugee School Collaborate for 5th CSR Project

The School of Foundation (SoF) at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) successfully hosted their 5th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project in collaboration with Elshaddai Refugee School on 24th May 2024.

The project was marked by the enthusiastic participation of APU volunteers, who led an engaging workshop on digital literacy for refugee students, making a significant impact on their educational journey.

Lecturers responsible for overseeing the entire project:

  1. Ms Iman Danish Sha (Lecturer, SoF at APU)
  2. Ms Nur Azliyana Abdul Kadir (Lecturer, SoF at APU)

The volunteers focused on teaching the students the art of digital storytelling using Microsoft PowerPoint.

This hands-on workshop provided a platform for the students to unleash their creativity while enhancing their digital skills.

The students created and presented their stories through slides, which ranged from historical narratives about the Roman Empire to cooking recipes and beloved childhood tales like Cinderella, all filled with passion and imagination.

Through workshops like this, the initiative successfully blended educational growth with meaningful human connections, leaving a lasting impact on both the students and the volunteers.

The project exemplified how collaborative efforts can create empowering learning experiences and foster a sense of unity and purpose within the community.
