APU Celebrates Prestigious NAPEI Excellence Award Win in Innovation in Education


The Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) has once again achieved stellar recognition for its leadership in higher education by being awarded the NAPEI Excellence Award 2024 in the Innovation in Education category.


Prof Dr Ho Chin Kuan (centre), Vice-Chancellor of APU, received the award from Prof Datuk Dr Azlinda Azman (left), Director General of Higher Education, accompanied by Assoc Prof Elajsolan VM Mohan, the President of NAPEI.

This accolade was presented during the NAPEI 37th Anniversary and NAPEI Excellence Award 2024 Dinner, held on 30th November 2024, at the Grand Ballroom of Avante Hotel, Petaling Jaya.

The award was received by Professor Dr Ho Chin Kuan, Vice-Chancellor of APU, from Professor Datuk Dr Azlinda Azman, Director General of Higher Education.

Setting Benchmarks in Industry 4.0 Education

The National Association of Private Educational Institutions (NAPEI) recognised APU for its unparalleled commitment to integrating cutting-edge technologies into education and preparing graduates to meet the demands of Industry 4.0. APU’s dedication to digital transformation, technological innovation, and global collaboration was highlighted as a benchmark for educational excellence in Malaysia.

The Director General of Higher Education graced the event on behalf of YB Dato' Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abd Kadir, Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, accompanied by Associate Professor Elajsolan VM Mohan, the President of NAPEI; Dr Teh Choon Jin, Secretary General of NAPEI and Registrar and Senior Director of Administration at APU; and other representatives of the association.

In her keynote address, Prof Datuk Dr Azlinda emphasised the critical role of higher education in equipping graduates with adaptability, critical thinking, and global competencies. During the event, APU was commended as a trailblazer in education innovation, demonstrating how technology can redefine teaching and learning to create future-ready graduates.
